Are you considering joining Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County? 

     We are one of 1,200 Zonta clubs in more than 70 countries worldwide.  Zonta is a secular, non-political, non-profit organization.  We welcome new members at any time.

     Membership in Zonta Foothills is fun!  New members consistently report that one of the best things about the club is making new friends.  We invite you to attend our business meetings, Zappy Hour and fundraising events prior to joining the club.  Business meetings are held at 11:30 A.M. on the second Thursday of each month (September-May) at the Boulder Cork.  Zappy Hour events are held each year in the spring and fall for prospective members to learn what makes us the "Club That Gets Things Done."  Check Upcoming Events or Contact Us for the date of the next event.  After meeting us, we hope you will see the benefit in becoming an active member of the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County.

 

Member Responsibilities

     Membership is a responsibility that requires some dedication, time and commitment but results in a sense of purpose, camaraderie and the joy of making a difference. Members are asked to participate in a range of activities including service activities, educational events and fundraising efforts.  There is not a requirement for a certain number of volunteer hours; members volunteer their time according to their own schedule.  Members serve on one of the following committees:  Service, Fundraising, Advocacy, International/U.N., Public Relations/Programming and Membership.   Members are encouraged to volunteer to serve in leadership roles within the organization.  The club also invites members to join its book club.

 

Membership Process

     Prospective members are asked to attend two club functions to be eligible for membership. New members are inducted into the club at our monthly business meeting. At that time new members will join a committee and participate in club activities.

 

Dues

     Dues for the year (June-May) are $265.  There is also a one-time $15 initiation fee.
